This wire is fine abd strong enough for what i want, and not very visible in my wreaths.Soft while sturdyI purchased the KC gold wire in the 20 gauge. The color is nice and has a look of 14k gold, but the colored enamel peels off when using jewelry pliers to manipulate so to have to be careful with this wire. Upon this wire being peeled, I discovered that this wire is a silver metal of sort. Maybe some kind of aluminum or steel. DEFINITELY NOT COPPER as stated! I don’t appreciate the false advertisement... Anyway, I cut this wire at a diagonal so you can see the cross section, no copper. The only good thing about this wire is that it wraps nicely. It’s not that malleable. So if you mess up then it’s difficult to reshape. I’ve attached photos to better explain the pros and cons.Great for jewelry makingPara el calibre del alambre siento que es demasiado suave. Tengo otros alambres de este calibre pero de otras marcas y mantienen mejor la forma.I bought this as an experiment. I'm crocheting chains for hanging lightweight sun catchers. I wasn't sure how this would work so I had no expectations when I ordered it. I've experimented with a variety of sizes of crochet hooks...smaller hooks obviously are more challenging. But it works how I expected. Once completed the single crochet chain can be pulled taunt and makes a nice looking fine chain for hanging the sun catchers. It can be bent and snapped and cuts easily with a scissors. After reading the reviews I though “what the heck I’ll give it a shot”. Many of the reviews said it was super yellow, so instead of the DARK GOLD, I got LIGHT GOLD- and it is the color I was hoping for. It isn’t rose gold, but a warmer gold that isn’t overwhelmingly yellow. I have a comparison with the “yellow gold” and the actual product.I will say that it seems a little flimsy and for heavy duty wrapping it might break if you pull too hard. I just do light stone wrapping and this will work just fine.I don’t know if it is my eyes just playing tricks on me, but it looks like the tone isn’t completely consistent and looks a little faded, but again for the price I think it’s great.I took some pictures in different lighting so you can get the general idea of the coloring. My “ Go To” for wrapped bead necklaces. Delicate but strong. Doesn’t tarnish with proper care (do not expose to water, hairspray, or perfume). Sterling silver look at half the priceI've never used this brand of wire, so I thought I would give it a try. I found this wire much thinner and way too soft compared to other 20 gauge wires I've used, and I use a lot of it for my earrings. I tried a couple things with this wire and it's just too soft to be workable for my needs. I think it should be labeled dead soft, as had it have been, I would not have purchased. I've wasted my money, as anything I tried with it has resulted in my discarding the wire to the garbage. It may work for others, but I'm not thinking I will be using this brand of wire in the future.I ordered this wire because I thought it was "26-Gauge Tarnish Resistant Copper Wire". I needed bare copper wire for something I was building. Imagine my surprise when "copper" didn't conduct any electricity. I don't know if there is *any* copper in this wire, but even after I scraped the surface layer of the wire off, it was not conductive. So this may be fine if you want a pretty faux-copper wire, but if you actually need copper wire that behaves like copper, look elsewhere.I am new to wire wrapping so decided to try this 24 gauge silver wire. It is beautiful and soft. Easy to work with. I think I will need some thicker gauge to do some of the things I want to do. In the photo I did a simple earring. I got frustrated using headpins that were too hard and would some times break. This wire takes care of all of this. Looking forward to doing more elaborate gemstone pendant wraps. This wire is beautiful and should accent it perfectly.this wire tarnishes so quickly… despite being “tarnish resistant”. after a few wears it seems to start turning a bronze colour (i make rings). it’s also very soft and bendy, which comes in handy when working with it BUT is not good for making rings as they bend and fold too easily. (and this is also so expensive for what it is…)I am trying to make French Beaded Pine Cones and the wire might tarnish resistant but that's only if the colour stays on the wire as the colour keep chipping off the wire so it's terrible. I don't know if other colours of this brand does the same thing but this one chips and I don't recommend. The seller was however quick to ship and the package was intact.
