I did a lot of research before ordering this copper platter, and am very pleased with it. The quality is excellent, with a nice solid, heavy feel. The design is hand hammered and lovely. I use it as an artistic accent with my other kitchen copper, and it stands out.This is a gorgeous tray! I have a large ledge over my range and it needed something spectacular as a centerpiece. I was looking for an antique, without any luck. This tray is popped up in an amazon search and it is beautiful. It is also strong enough to be functional and a good size. It looks great in a French-style , traditional kitchen, but it could be used in modern decor as well. I have had many compliments on the quality of the tray. It's a stunner!Originally I bought a Sertodo mint julep cup to put under the spout of my grain mill, just in case I forget and turn it on without putting a bowl under the spout. I have enjoyed looking at the mint julep cup so much, and visitors almost always pick it up and admire it, that I decided to get a couple more Sertodo items. I bought this platter, which looks great with my dark-stained cabinets and coffee table, and the water pitcher, which is displayed so it can be seen and admired from its place on the granite counter-top bar. I am surrounding myself with beautiful hammered copper items from Sertodo. They are gorgeous! I couldn't be happier with them.Heavy and well madeThis is a nice platter. It is thick and heavy, hence the price. only negative - the metal is hammered before it is shaped in a press, evidently, because the shiny beveled ring that gives the platter depth is not really hammered (after being stretched).
