My mom read this story to me when I was 6 years old and it has lived in my memory for so long, I am now nearly 40! I have three children of my own now and I wanted to share the story with them. I have searched for this book in every bookstore for as long as I can remember- I am finally a bit more computer savvy and was able to get it on Amazon. Every night my kids and I sit and read a chapter and we are loving it. It was funny as I remembered the book being a lot thicker as a child so when I opened it I was slightly disappointed! The story is beautiful and we havent quite finished it - all I remember that it is very sad! All I can say no other book has lived in my memory like the King of the Copper Mountain, and I recommend it - my three children are 3, 5 and 7 and they are all riveted! Enjoy
