We had a mouse invasion this year - I ended up with 26 5-gallon buckets - mouse habitats -- until the snow in Alaska melted enough for us to re-home them back to nature (we found a good spot). We put one mouse in each bucket, but I ended up with a few Moms who came pregnant. Mouse pups are extremely cute (ours would stop and look up when I checked them with a flash light - or freeze in place when they were playing like dog puppies. But who wants to share a home with mice? We caught them in live animal traps we bought on Amazon. And then I hired a pest control guy to plug all the mouse holes that went outside and upstairs. He used this copper mesh because it doesn't ionize and wear out like steel wool will when you push it against pipes. It's more flexible than steel wool and it doesn't drop little pieces from it too.
