One should never leave a bottle of Champagne unfinished for it will almost certainly be diminished when one returns to it. Lesser sparking wines are a rather different matter and I always have an open bottle of Willm Blanc de Blanc or Blanc de Noir open in the refrigerator. But I wouldn't trust them to this useless piece of junk. It is so badly designed that, after attaching the clamps, the (too shallow) stopper doesn't even touch the mouth of the bottle. One might as well just leave it open. There are many effective stoppers available and this, clearly, is not among them.
